The Concept
I always felt the need to integrate myself within the human community but I’ve never succeeded. I keep looking for a collocation in the art world and in the one of living mankind but … I’ve not found it yet… I still feel like a fish out of water and I question myself if my uniqueness shall not be just a trick, like an untouchable reflection of an image on water surface. I came to live in London, then, and instead of getting better, things get worst ... a so complicated undefined agglomerate of cultures, co inhabitant of the same realty unaware of each other existence … people completely “lobotomized” by an overall consumerist life.
I travel every day on public transport
The Idea
Ironically, then, I print, in order to preserve it, the only thing that guarantees my uniqueness: my finger print. I print it. I print it on a T-shirt,
I wear it, I advertise it, I make it public through the web and the most popular networking website (facebook), decontextualizing the concept and for an economic principle, I vulgarize it, making it popular. In this way the effect is the same of the image reflected on water surface…my uniqueness dissolves.
To strengthen the concept I created a real “fashion collection” of ID T-shirts and I invite as many people as possible to join in. Everyone can have their “uniqueness” printed on a T-shirt
