Fresh air blows gently on the light waves of the calm sea and on the hills behind the town. The colorful flowers brighten Nice’ sparkling atmosphere and the currently proposed exhibitions are upbeat and intriguing. Nice is perfect for a weekend spent between the various art exhibitions and relaxing and sunny walk.

But let's see in detail the different proposals.

At the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art the ongoing exhibition, titled "Robinson, ou la force des choses" and featuring three artists who have worked in Nice, is well prepared with some interesting pieces and with a good didactic background. At ground floor Bozica Matasic Goddess, visual artist born in Zagreb in 1970, occupies the contemporary gallery of the museum with his work Panacea, a mobile and interactive installation of sculptures that can interact with public, like the old "Roly-Poly" dolls.

Villa Arson, situated inland overlooking the picturesque city, hosts an exhibition between historical and documentary. Under the title of the ‘Institut des archives sauvages’, the exhibition collects nearly thirty contemporary works linked by the common theme of archiving. The works are presented in a somewhat crowded and not very homogenous way that creates several smoky brainy paths, perhaps a less archival and more art oriented choice could have put up a better show.

The photographs of Brassaï are on display in the wonderful spaces of the Théâtre de la Photographie et de l'Image. The photographs are owned by the Matisse Museum in Nice that collaborated in organising the exhibition.
The images, some of them known and some less so, recreate the magical atmosphere of the culture of the last century.

In the two spaces on the waterfront at the Galerie des Ponchettes, a beautiful and elegant exhibition by Henri Olivier proposes a well composed and coherent group of works related to the theme of the shadow. At the Galerie de la Marine the winners of the 2010 Foundation Bernar Venet, artists Lee EunYoung and Jean-Baptiste Engler, present a very young and fresh installation and a more rigorous group of glass works.

The center of architectural culture in the market place of Cours Saleya presents an interesting and very well prepared contest on the recent French architecture.
