On May 7 2012 a press conference presenting the exhibition 'Schiaparelli & Prada: Impossible Conversations” was at the Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The exhibition will be open to the public from May 10 to August 19 2012.

90 drawings and thirty accessories designed by Schiaparelli (born in 1890 and died in 1973) from late 1920 to early 1950 are showcased in the exhibition. These beautiful artifacts are placed in dialogue with those created by Prada from the years 1980 to present. The refined items come from the own collection of the Costume Institute at the Met and from Prada Archive.
