After the collection inspired by Warhol and Lichtenstein, the American designer Lisa Perry turns to yet another pop icon to inspire her new collection on the occasion of the opening of the boutique in Madison Avenue, Manhattan.
The collection draws from the pool of Koons’ typical characters, prints and clothing are fully inspired by the artist’s iconic themes as the ‘kitsch’, the giant balloons in the shape of animals (such as the inflatable Rabbit), the ‘Pink Panther’ - a porcelain sculpture of a topless woman holding the Pink Panther - the famous star of Train Monkey and Loopy’s ‘cherry on top’.
Lisa Perry has transformed these masterpieces in a line of dresses ranging from $ 2500 and up and jewellery from $ 300, handbags and accessories.
