These days London is more than ever the center of the world. The history of this wonderful city has always been punctuated by ups and downs, moments of glory and moments of hardship. These alternate stages are well documented in a photographic exhibition called "Another London" on display at the Tate Britan.

In an excursion that goes from the 30s until the end of the last century, 180 pictures tell the architectural and social changes of this great cosmopolitan metropolis. British history is told through the photographs of the most famous photographers, from the crisis of the post-war years to the change of the post-Tatcher era.

It is very fascinating to see how some things have not changed at all and how others are unrecognizable. As the British have remained so old-fashioned in some respects and how incredibly avant-garde they are in terms of fashion and costumes.
