La Mail Art è una libera forma di comunicazione artistica che coinvolge tutte le Nazioni del mondo, in grado di sviluppare rapporti di amicizia e fratellanza con il superamento delle distanze geografiche – culturali - ideologiche, con la partecipazione a progetti internazionali, con lo scambio di opere artistiche ed anche con incontri durante i quali vengono eseguite installazioni, performances ed azioni poetiche. La paternità di questo “circuito artistico internazionale”va attribuita al provocatorio e originale artista americano Ray Johnson, il quale – facendo allora parte del Movimento Fluxus che comprendeva al suo interno tra i vari aspetti anche la Mail Art - diede completa autonomia a quest’ultima con la nascita della New York Correspon Dance School of Art, rendendola così forma d’arte totale e libera, al di fuori degli schemi dettati dal potere e dal mercato, quindi quasi “underground”, mentre invece Istituzioni, Scuole e Università si sono sempre interessati a questo movimento, essendovi al suo interno un grande insegnamento di democrazia, poiché niente viene rifiutato e, in caso di mostra, tutte le opere vengono esposte, in quanto la non discriminazione è uno dei principali aspetti dello spirito della Mail Art. Gli artisti si scambiano tipicamente arte effimera (ephemera) in forma di lettere illustrate, zines, buste illustrate, decorate con timbri o con altri strumenti, artist trading card, cartoline illustrate, cartoline postali, artistamp (Francobolli d'Artista), rubberstamp (timbri di fantasia) il tutto rigorosamente fatto a mano quindi una piccola opera d'arte come parte integrante della propria 'poetica' simbolica. La nostra raccolta e poi la Mostra non sarà a fini di lucro.
Ecco alcuni punti da ricordare er la partecipazione:
- tema libero, ma adatto e dedicato ai bambini dai 6 ai 10 anni
- tecnica e strumenti liberi per dar ampia libertà alla creatività
- partecipazione gratuita e aperta a tutti gli artisti italiani ed esteri
- ogni artista potrà partecipare fino a un massimo di 5 Mail Art (non ci sarà restituzione le mail art saranno utilizzate per altre mostre, si pensa già a una mostra itinerante)
- iscrizioni su www.equilibriarte.org/CHILDRENart
- data per la partecipazione dal 1 ottobre 2008 al 18 marzo 2009, termine ultimo in cui dovranno pervenire tutte le Mail Art
- anche gli alunni delle classi della scuola elementare parteciperanno all’invio delle loro Mail Art a tutti gli artisti che vorranno inserire nella spedizione della loro opera, l’indirizzo postale personale.
- le Mail Art andranno spedite tramite posta con regolare affrancatura e indirizzate a :

La 1^ Mostra si terrà a fine anno scolastico, dal 6 al 28 giugno 2009 (stiamo attendendo conferma per la data del periodo dalla Giunta comunale)
L’esposizione verrà allestita in un ambiente prestigioso, il locale sarà scelto in base al materiale ricevuto ed è comunque uno spazio che solitamente viene destinato per le più importanti esposizioni d’arte che l’Amministrazione Comunale di Sacile sostiene con il suo Patrocinio.
Si procederà all’organizzazione e produzione di locandine con i nomi degli artisti partecipanti e dato notizie tramite stampa locale e web.

The Mail Art is a free form of artistic communication that involves all nations in the world capable of developing relations of friendship and brotherhood with the overcoming of geographical distances - cultural - ideological, with the participation in international projects, with the exchange of works artistic and including meetings during which they are carried out installations, performances and actions poetic. The authorship of this "international art circuit" should be attributed to the provocative and original American artist Ray Johnson, who - by then part of the Fluxus movement, which included inside the various aspects of the Mail Art - gave full autonomy to the latter with the birth of the New York correspon Dance School of Art, thus making it an art form and total freedom, outside the patterns dictated by power and the market, and almost "underground", while institutions, colleges and universities have always interested in this movement, being inside a great lesson in democracy, because nothing is refused and, in the event of the exhibition, all works are exhibited, as non-discrimination is one of the main aspects of the spirit of Mail Art.
The artists will exchange art ephemeral typically (ephemera) in the form of illustrated letters, zines, illustrated envelopes, decorated with stamps or other instruments, artist trading cards, postcards, postcards, artistamp (Stamps d'Artista), rubberstamp (stamps Invented) all done strictly by hand and then a small work of art as an integral part of its' poetic 'symbolic. Our collection and the exhibition will not be for profit.
Here are some points to remember er participation:

- Free theme, but suitable for children aged 6 to 10 years
- Technical and free tools to give broad freedom to creativity
- Participation free and open to all Italian and foreign artists
- Each artist will participate to a maximum of 5 Mail Art (there will be no refund the mail art will be used for other exhibitions, it is believed already to a traveling exhibition)
- Inscriptions on www.equilibriarte.org / CHILDRENart
- The date for participation from October 1 2008 to 18 March 2009, deadline that will reach all Mail Art
- Even pupils in classes of primary school attended by sending their Mail Art to all artists who want to enter in the shipment of their work, mailing address.
- Mail Art will be sent via regular mail with postage and addressed to:

The 1st Exhibition will be held at the end of school year, from 6 to 28 June 2009 (we are awaiting confirmation for the period from the date of the Municipal Board)
The exhibition will be staged in a prestigious environment, the local will be chosen from the materials received and is still an area that is usually intended for the most important exhibitions of art from the Municipal Administration of Sacile supports his patronage.
